A BUGATTI is a collector’s item whose value needs to be preserved. The La Maison Pur Sang program is designed to ensure model authenticity.
Launched at the 2020 Paris Rétromobile Show, the La Maison Pur Sang program is designed to ensure model authenticity. BUGATTI models have an extensive racing or owner’s history, often both, and they often are connected to an unconventional narrative, not to mention to extraordinary bodyworks and configurations—it is the program’s job to determine a vehicle’s genuineness through intensive research into that past and all available information.
The La Maison Pur Sang program brings great advantages to everyone: a certification of authenticity from the marque not only provides reassurance for owners and collectors, but also significantly enhances the value of an extraordinary vehicle.
Restoration and Certification
BUGATTI models have always been highly demanded collector’s items: authentic, certified vehicles place the owner in high regard within the automotive collecting community. This has been true for the historic models from the Ettore Bugatti era as well as for those from Campogalliano, and it will be true for the contemporary models that come out of the BUGATTI Atelier in Molsheim.
Operating exclusively at the headquarters in Molsheim, La Maison Pur Sang certification program verifies the authenticity of models of all ages from the marque’s illustrious history. The program also offers customers and collectors an extensive range of restoration and reconfiguration options.
Projects
2008 Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport 2.1 The first project undertaken by La Maison Pur Sang is none other than the first Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport prototype. The car, designated “Grand Sport 2.1," traveled far and wide—from North America to Europe and all the way to the Middle East. In 2020, BUGATTI reacquired the vehicle and brought it back home to Molsheim, where it became the first model to complete the intensive process of acquiring the La Maison Pur Sang certification.
The team spent four months restoring this Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport to its original 2008 launch specification. Externally, the body panels were removed, prepared, and repainted. Inside, the cabin was completely refurbished with new leather trim and a refresh of all leather and aluminum parts. After receiving the complete La Maison Pur Sang treatment, this hyper sports car was back to its former glory.
2014 Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse Back in the year of its world premiere, in 2012, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse demonstrated that it is possible to create a roadster version of a supercar with unrivaled performance and comfort. The Vitesse was a new, powerful statement from BUGATTI.
This model from 2014 traveled 15,000 km with its owner before it came back to Molsheim in 2021, when the marque bought it back. Back at the BUGATTI headquarters, this Grand Sport Vitesse underwent the La Maison Pur Sang program to be restored to standard factory delivery.
