THE SUPER SPORT VERSION OF THE VEYRON 16.4

BUGATTI continued the brand tradition of developing SUPER SPORT versions of successful models with the VEYRON 16.4 SUPER SPORT. the VEYRON 16.4 SUPER SPORT expanded the limits of possibility in the automotive sector even further and set new benchmarks.

1,200 PS, a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 415 km/h – 2010 the VEYRON 16.4 SUPER SPORT made experts and car fans all around the world marvel at this performance data and shone bright as the new star in the super sports car sky.

In the year of its market launch the VEYRON 16.4 already set up a speed record for street cars. Adhering to the the Guiness World Record restrictions an unprecedented 431.072 km/h was reached and the VEYRON was knighted as the fastest super sportscar of its time.

PERFECT TECHNOLOGY with a unique Design

The guiding principle of the genius car designer Ettore Bugatti, who came from a family of artists, was to always encase perfect technology in an aesthetically appealing exterior. This commitment lives on today: the designers gave the VEYRON 16.4 SUPER SPORT an utterly unique appearance – and at the same time, every single exterior modification serves to improve performance.

The SUPER SPORT’s flat, elongated form is immediately recognizable. Instead of bonnet scoops, the 16-cylinder engine is ventilated by two NACA ducts in the roof.

Chassis

The high-performance sports car’s chassis was meticulously reworked to enable the unique driving power to be safely controlled. The main spring rates were slightly increased and the stabilizers were strengthened. In conjunction with the newly developed dampers, adapted from motorsport models, this enables perceptibly more precise control of the wheels and the vehicle. In addition to the high lateral potential of up to 1.4 G, the optimized interaction between the tyres and the smart four-wheel drive system enables perfect handling. A powerful torque of 1,500 Nm enables even higher acceleration values when coming out of a turn. All components of the drivetrain were extensively reinforced in order to safely transmit the immense forces.

Aerodynamics

The fine-tuned optimization of the bodyshell aerodynamics improves efficiency and ensures perfect balance in all driving scenarios. Modified air vents improve the airflow and cooling efficiency. The full-carbon monocoque features a new fiber structure that guarantees even higher torsional rigidity than the basic model with maximum passive safety and reduced weight. The BUGATTI VEYRON 16.4 SUPER SPORT’s flat, elongated form is immediately recognizable. Instead of bonnet scoops, the 16-cylinder engine is ventilated by two NACA ducts in the roof. The front section is dominated by larger and completely redesigned air vents. The bottom air slot extends into the wheel wells on the sides, giving the supercar a bold look. The new rear section features a double diffuser and wide, central exhaust for a sporty look.
