Enthusiasts in the mid 1920s coveted the BUGATTI TYPE 35 – as did Ettore’s youngest son, Roland. For his fourth birthday, Roland’s father and older brother, Jean, built a 50% scale model for him. The BUGATTI BABY was born.

Those visiting Molsheim were so captivated that Ettore – who initially planned the BABY as a one-off – decided to put it into production. Between 1927 and 1936, around 500 units were built, making the BABY the most popular BUGATTI of the time. Very few have survived and are in the hands of lucky collectors. The BUGATTI BABY left no successors. Until now.

Almost a century after the creation of its predecessor, the fully electric BUGATTI BABY II serves as an homage while now featuring state-of-the-art technology. Like the original, this modern tribute to Ettore's masterpiece is produced in a limited run of just 500 vehicles.

Meticulously replicated using a full 3D scan, this 75% scale reincarnation of the iconic BUGATTI TYPE 35 offers the same pioneering lightweight features of the vintage motorsport hero along with the technology, craftsmanship, and materiality of every modern BUGATTI.

This fully-electric homage to the 1924 FRENCH GRAND PRIX race car is the only BUGATTI that offers a driving experience for enthusiasts, both young and old at heart.

A single charge of the replaceable lithium-ion batteries combined with the powertrain’s rear wheel drive and regenerative braking allow for a travel range of 25 or 50 km (15.5 or 31 miles) – depending on the model.

Whether it’s the Vitesse or Pur Sang versions – with 10 kW (13.6 PS) – accelerating up to 68 km/h (42 mph), all models feature two ideal drive modes for adults and children. For speed enthusiasts, an optional CHIRON-inspired “speed-key” is available, unleashing the full performance.

The cockpit maintains its vintage appeal with the signature brushed aluminum dashboard, a fine leather bench seat, custom instruments, a detachable Nardi four-spoke steering wheel, and an individualized VEYRON-inspired numbered chassis plate.

The smallest of the BUGATTI family has a lot in common with its bigger siblings: its Macaron emblem proudly adorning every horseshoe grille. Forged from 970 sterling silver, it’s the only component in all BUGATTIs where lightweight is not considered.

Adding practicality and safety to your BUGATTI BABY II, functioning indicators and mudguards, new LED headlights, and a horn – are offered in the optional “Touring Package”.

An electric engine powers the composite body of all entry versions of the BUGATTI BABY II and features two selectable power modes. “Novice” mode limits the output to 1 kW (1.4 PS) and a gentler speed of 20 km/h (12 mph), while “Expert” mode reaches 4 kW (5.4 PS) and up to 45 km/h (28 mph).

Smooth sailing in a carbon fiber body. An uprated engine allows the chassis to show off its authentic handling: the steering arm, custom leaf springs and hollow front axle – all faithful recreations of the big TYPE 35’s – and emphasized further with adjustable dampers and limited slip differential on the rear axle.

The exquisite hand-formed body in lightweight aluminum combined with the 10 kW (13.6 PS) engine makes PUR SANG the connoisseur’s choice. This old-school bodywork takes over 200 hours of skilled coachbuilding technique.

This limited-edition model was inspired by and created exclusively for owners of the W16 MISTRAL ROADSTER. Hand-built to customer’s specifications, yet honoring exterior and interior detailing of the W16 MISTRAL, makes this an ideal addition to BUGATTI’s ultimate roadster.
